Steve Erdman

Steve Erdman began his career in real estate and in 1977 by joining the firm of Goldrich and Kest, a company that has been specializing in the development and construction of thousands of housing units and retirement facilities throughout California.

In 1983, Steve became a Vice President in charge of Goldrich and Kest’s entire construction operations and all phases of the development process. Steve managed multiple projects, including large developments of multi family subsidized apartment projects, high-end and high-rise apartments, condominiums and single-family homes, housing tracts, board and care facilities, convalescent hospitals, hotels, commercial and large industrial projects.

He dealt with many government and public agencies such as HUD, CRA, CHFA, OSHPUD, Los Angeles Housing Department, universities, non-profit organizations, and has extensive experience of doing business with numerous city and counties officials throughout the state.

In 1990, Steve has begun to develop projects on his own as the owner and president of Canfield Development, Inc.  He developed apartments, condominiums and custom homes in the Los Angeles area. 

Steve is very active in public life.  He served as a board member in The Jewish Federation and is a board member of the Friends of Tel Aviv University.  He has served as a President of B’nai Brith Shalom Lodge.  In addition, he has helped conceive, design and build the Los Angeles Holocaust memorial monument at the Pacific Park.
